Here's an alternative to the standard "over the top of the intake hose" method for dv relocation. What I'm going for here is a clean looking install with no hose kinking or disturbing anything else in the engine bay. I started with the parts shown below, some of which came from the standard relocation kit from Forge. The red hose with the 90 degree bend used to be located at the upper intercooler hose - connected to the T-fitting. Now it is serving duty in this install. Also seen here are 2 additional 90 degree bends, one from standard pipe and one Audi part number 06B 133 989 C (available at World Impex, SKU 232369 for $10.83).

As you can see in the picture below, one end of the relo hose will attach to the Samco intake hose near the firewall and the other end will attach to the diverter valve (not seen here) which will attach to the upper intercooler hose shown below next to the battery:

Here's how I connected all the pieces shown in the first picture after a lot of test fitting.

Here's the result with all the fittings in place, neatly routing around the intake hose and to the diverter valve.

Completed with engine bay all buttoned up. Many more photos in the Fotki - see link below.

yes, new SFS hoses just came in from Mike (MCPaudiTT). No more worries about the clamps on the T-fitting (that used to be there) coming loose. Very nice.
