Default No need to bleed them unless you open the lines>>

which generally you won't do unless you are replacing the calipers or brake hoses.

Default don't need to bleed them but...

you may want to take the lid off of the brake fluid reservoir and make sure it doesn't overflow as you compress the piston. Depending on how much fluid is in the reservoir and how much you have to compress the pistons you might end up with a bit of a spill, and brake fluid is nasty stuff.

Default I'll do one wheel at a time, and pump the pedal between each.

That way I don't have all the pistons compressed at once.

Default I never claim to know it all but BLEED YOUR BRAKES!! >>>>

I was taught by very well trained tech's, that to force fluid back to the master cyl is a HUGE mistake. Bleeder should be open when colapsing caliper piston, then install pads reasemble and BLEED YOUR BRAKES !! this serves two funtions 1) to clear air or debris from the line(rubber seals do wear) 2) to allow some fluid to escape the system so you are adding fresh fluid and getting rid of fluid at the caliper that has gone through many heat cycles. heat is the enemy
