Default Does anybody with a 5 or 6 speed TT have restless leg syndrome in your left leg?

I think the narrowness of the TT seat and the position of my left leg is resulting in pressure on my sciatic nerve--causing restless leg syndrome.

Just a theory, though. Any thoughts?

Default how big are you?

i'm 5'8" about 160, and have no problems with the seat. my left foot changes around, but is usually either on the plate on the floor, or back by the seat (knee kinda up).

Default They have a pill for that now; I saw a comercial the other night.

It showed some old guy squirming around in his recliner until he took the pill. I thought it was a joke at first.

Default stop shifting so much, and shift into neutral at stops ;-) >>>

I have/had pain on occassion, but NOT "RLS"; realize you're 'unbalanced' by virtue of the nature of a standard shift car - your decision and your responsibility; also, you're gripping the wheel with your left arm 'probably' intensly, and almost nothing on the right, so that further contributes to the muscular/isometric imbalance.

17 hrs (w/ traffic) from TT West Prescott to home and no problems... I'm 6'1" and at the time 230lbs.... Do you keep your wallet in your hip pocket?

Default The clutch gets stiffer towards the end of it's life

The dealer replaced mine at 49K because it was so stiff, still wasn't slipping though.

Default proper seat adjustment and driving position probably have the most to do with it...

adjust your seat so that when you fully depress the clutch you are at a comfortable position for your leg. keep your steering wheel adjusted to your height and set your seatback so as when you put your arms straight out on top of the steering wheel, your wrists don't go past the wheel. that should get you close to proper driving position and you may have to tweak it a little. it makes a difference though. I've made several long hauls in the TT 8-10 hours straight.
