when i sit at idle for over 5 minutes the temp starts to creep past middle. checked on the climate control and it's approaching 105C. anyone else have this problem? seems like a fan isnt kicking on when it's supposed to.

my 180 has been doing that, seems normal as long as it drops back to middle while driving
I even had a full TB service done with correct thermostat and still seems to rise at idle. I am not too worried as long as it doesn't go any higher than middle as I am driving

<edit> My 180 did the same before ....>
replacing is the fan switch on the radiator. I got the low temp version (OEM switches at 102C, low temp at 92C). I like that the car temp does not move a thousand of an inch from dead center on the temp gauge and the read on the AC cluster swings between 90 and 94 only, no matter AC in on or off, moving or idle. Before the swap it went to 100+ then down to 95 and swing in between.
Edit: As Steve says, it is not a problem. That is the way it works; But for some of us (Floridians), it get's really hot in summer and a little help is always welcomed, like in stop-and-go traffic.
