left arm hides most of the tach, and since the right is busy with the 6 speed I have a clear view of the speedo. I would rather be able to quickly glance at the tach. Are the rhd the same way?
Just a minor irritation

I had a Fiat X1/9 that had the speedo on the left and the tach on the right. But the needles rotated opposite each other (speedo clockwise, tach counter clockwise) Kind of made you go cross-eyed looking at them. Crazy Italians.

I know Delphi's (ex-GM in house parts co., spun off in early '99) marketing it to the OEM's and I saw a demo on a 528i. The presentation is rather rudimentary at this point, but you can click through and have the tach, speed, or much of the data reported by a gauge or computer, projected in a 'box' at the bottom of your line of sight out the windshield. I can't see how something like this won't be at least a reasonably priced option on a performance car in the next few years.
