Default Worldcom, MCI, and UUnet are all in the same bed out here

Their down time here in Socal is pretty frequent.

Default Yeah, they're all WorldCom now...

I'm not a huge fan of WorldCom as a company as a whole. But being a UUNET employee being assemilated into WorldCom, we provide some damn good dedicated IP service. I'm not biased or anything. ;-)

Seriously though, any given T1, T3, etc is relies on multiple vendors and any of these could cause you problems. Could very well be issues with your local telco. Anyway, UUNET kicks ***! :-P

Default Try Secured Private Network.

they are in Irvine. Last time I checked, which was about 3 months ago. They had a T1 connection special for about $550 something. I can't remember.

Default T1 cost varies depending on how far the line has to be run.

The line charge can be anywhere from $100/mo to $2000/mo or more. Then you have to add in your bandwidth charges...They'll get you for at least $1000/mo if you want the fill 1.5mbps out of it, but even that would be pretty cheap.

Unless you're planning on having work pay for it, I think you'll find the cost if a T1 is probably out of the range of pretty much any home user. You would probably be better off trying another consumer-targeted alternative...You've got all sorts of DSL, 2-way satellite, and microwave available right now.
