Default Does anyone use a electric blower to dry their cars?

I have a jet black 530i that is part of my weekend wash now along with the BB TTR and the java black Land Rover so I am over using towels and would like suggestions on using a blower to remove most of the water and then just wiping the rest up. What brand or what kind of blower should I get? Would most any blower from Home Depot work?

Thanks

Default I am buying a air compressor very soon for my garage because

I would like to have some air tools around....

The other reason is because I would like to use the air to dry the car in all of the nooks and crannies..

I used to wash my car all of the time at my friends work for this purpose alone...

On a nicely waxed car, it take like 5 min and your done!!!

NICE

Default Blowers could pick up dirt and scratch the Sh** out of the car..

My reco instead of towels is the absorber, syn chamois.

Totally reusable!

Default Use gas (side venting exhaust ) blower when washing cars...works great and

blows water out of nooks and crannies. Electric should work equally well. Saves lots of time and going thru towels bigtime...

Default make sure that you have a good oil and water trap... compressor air is not clean by any means....

you can have blotches of oil and/or water come blasting out of the air nozzle and get all over the car....

Default Sean...on air compressor...make sure to 'vent' on routine basis...

little vent valve on bottom of air tank should be opened slightly before each use of nozzle...water forms inside tank and settles at bottom of tank thus the venting procedure...if you don't do you will be a proud owner of a new TT color....air blown rust water....

Default Yes, I use an elec leaf blower to "pre-dry", disagree that it picks up dirt, of course

I guess that depends where one is drying their TT. Works fine for me, gets the heavy water off and gets it out of the mirrors, etc.

Default This doesn't apply to MichaelTT...

MichaelTT's garage AND driveway do NOT have dirt on them. ;-)
