Default Thanks. Taking car into dealer for probably a faulty coolant temp sensor >>>

I had a CEL last week ... cleared it and it came back. My appointment is Monday and the CEL went off this morning. At least I don't have to be blinded by that yellow symbol until Monday ... unless it comes back on.

Default Hmm. I had a CEL disappear and reappear. P1137 fuel air mixture/rich.

The dealer charged me $180 to diagnose and replace the $13 coolant temp sensor. The light was back on within a day, same code. Today he replaced a couple of hoses, and eventually agreed to replace the MAF under warranty.

Here's hoping.

Default That's very different. You could get the new temp sensor for $10.

That's a cheap thing to try. The dealer will happily charge Audi (under warranty) for an hour or two of diagnosis.

Default I don't mind the dealership doing what it has to do in order to fix my car >>>

If they want to over charge the parent ... whatever.

It is still under warranty and the dealer should fix it. I have never had them damage my car, so I guess I trust them.

Thanks for the help. Soon I will have a Bentley CD and a ProDiag (Palm VAG-COM) so I will be responsible for fixing stupid stuff like this.
