Default Does your motion sensor work?

Just decided to test mine, and the little indicator lite on the button doesn't go on when deactivated and the door security lite doesn't stay on for a few seconds like it's supposed to when you deactivate the motion sensor. Anyone else have this problem? Do you think this means that the motion sensor itself is malfunctioning--not providing protection--or that only the turnoff switch is malfunctioning?

Default Make sure you open driver's door, press the motion sensor button, close the door, and lock the car..

I use mine all the time and you must activate it with the driver's door open. If it doesn't work after this, then you might indeed have a problem.

Default Do you have a Coupe or Roadster? Only the Roadster has a motion sensor...

The coupes and all other Audi's have an air pressure sensor. It is really designed to detect window breakage rather than detect motion. It will detect motion in some cases. The Roadster has a radar sensor that is designed to detect motion when the roadster top is down.

I don't think this is correct. Motion detector works even with the window open all the way.

Thanks! That works. Now why isn't that in the manual?

Default It is, sorta, just not precise. I've been using it because my alarm has proven ultra sensitive and

this prevents those 3:00 a.m. unwanted alarm engagements Glad I could be of help.
