My goal is to tap in for my radar detector. Can someone post instructions on how to remove the dome light and if there is a switched power source.

i would go look underneath the kick panel under the steering and also the fuse box.....i tapped into the power line that my sub uses (i dun remember where i tapped that from)

but def not the dome light

Used a fuse tap in the fuse box itself and ran the line inside the A-pillar and under the headliner. Uses switched power and the cord is concealed except for the last 2 inches.

I'm using the Escort 8500's smart hardwire cord which also has a mute and indicator LED. I ran that cord under the dash over to the aluminum knee brace so I can hit the mute button just under the steering wheel instead of having to reach over by the mirror to hit the mute on the unit itself.
