Default Door Open. Lock. Close Door. No Beep.

I used to be able to have the door open (or the trunk), lock the door (via remote), close the door (or trunk) and have the horn beep and lights flash to indicate that the alarm's active. Now when I do this, I get no beep or light flash (I have to lock the door again via remote). I had the keys reprogrammed recenty. Would this be the problem?

Possibly. Make sure your windows are completely shut.

Default No, I don't beleive you can get that with the door.

I mean I do the same with the trunk (park the car, open the door, get out of the car, close the door, open the trunk from remote, lock, get the briefcase ouf of the trunk, close the trunk, beep). Never could do that with the door.

Default If you had the key's reprogrammed, I bet they did not set them the same as you had. You may want to

go back and have them work that setting back into your puter.

I know that you can also program the keyfob to make the windows go down if you hold the open button down for 3 seconds. BUT this setting over rides something else.. I kinda recall that it overrides the windows going down in an accident. Anyway.. what ever it was the dealer here in the States, would not do it as it is a European spec function, and not allowed in the US as it overrides that Accident function.

All in all... there are many more things that the computer can do, and I am sure that the tech who reprogrammed your keyfob forgot something...

e!

Default No beep because the car is not secure...

the driver's door unlocks when being closed. VW/Audi has "always" done this, it helps prevent locking your keys in the car.

Probably not the same but my Jetta stopped beeping at me when it got older. My TT always beeps.
