Default The dreaded P0102 and P0171 with ESP and CEL lights.......

Car was a bit low on oil so I picked up some Mobil 1 Synthetic from Autozone and put 3/4 of a quart in while in the AZ parking lot total hillbilly style. I also fill washer fluid since the warning light is real annoying.

I get about 1 mile down the road, on comes ESP and CEL lights.

Drive back to AZ and Vag it, codes P0171 then 0102 show up. Cear the codes but they came back.

MAF was changed brand new on May 12th. I searched and from what I understand I should clean it.

Any other suggestions?

Default It's not always the MAF....>

Lean codes can come from cracked VAC hoses, Bad 02 sensors etc. There shouldn't be any need to clean a two month old MAF.

Default If you had a VAG...>>

You could get more specific code information and be able to perform a few tests. Lacking that it's a crapshoot.

How is the car running?

Default The car is running ok, it does not feel like when I had a bad MAF. Gas milage is staying constant..

the only abnormality I saw was a random jumping around of the gas gage and the miles per empty. It would start at 90 miles per empty, I drive 2 miles under normal driving conditions, and when I am home it states 30 miles per empty.

Default Try the techron treatment for that problem...>

Run some concentrated techron through the next 3-4 tanks. If you're lucky it will scrub the senders clean..It's worked for a lot of folks..
