The question as to what part(s) of the mods changes the steering is a great one. Anyone?

Default Re: Maybe my decision to put a Garrett chip and Borla exhaust (more)

I may go the same route. Having now felt the car with more power it will be hard to be satisfied with the 180Q in stock form. Quite honestly, I would rather go with the 225 for the beefed-up engine and 6th gear and modify the suspension to regain the great steering and low-speed handling of the 180Q, but I don't know which components of the "mods" are at fault nor in general how or where to begin.

A number of posts have discussed that since November.

Default My situation, Denny.....(more)

...is that I bought my "Fritz" outright rather than leasing him. I therefore am less likely to have wanted to trade up to a 225Q in a few years anyway.

But the more I read & hear, the more I'm inclined to think that I'll just keep my *own* "go-kart" as well! You know, I'm delighted to think that my 180Q is in the "original form"...as conceived by the Audi design team. Personally, I think I'll glad give up the extra power the 225 would bring to have the WONDERFUL handling which makes the TT even *more* special than his looks alone would suggest!

So as usual, Denny, we agree AGAIN!! ;-)

Fact of life: there are very few ANSWERS or SOLUTIONS, but you've got to trust somebody... :-)

Default My train of thought exactly. (more)

Actually, I wish I had bought the car outright, but I was worried that maybe I wouldn't like having a small car, it wouldn't be practical, etc. and that I'd want to be out of it in three years. Year one is over with on June 22, and I feel like I did the day I received him. So, barring any weird issues with the car, I'm fairly certain I'll just buy it. We do agree!!

I'll bet that you, like me, still feel a "rush" each & every time you drive your baby, right Denny?
