Sitting here in the living room surfing on the laptop with the linksys wireless hookup, daughter in the Comp room doing her 8 screen instant messenger thing. Its amazing how much real estate you can cover with a broadband hook-up. So fast It's like talking to you guys/gals in person!

free wireless internet access. Hehe.. (where do you love again?) Just remember to tweak your IP scheme a little bit! And now that you're on broadband, may I recommend, Black Ice to protect yourself?

crack 802.11a security.
I personally think all of this buzz about 802.11a being insecure is a lot of hype. So someone cracked the alghorythm. BFD. Has there been one reported case of a hacker driving through suburbia with a laptop and parking in front of someone's house for hours so that they can crack the wireless protocol and monitor online activity?
It's so much easier to get credit card numbers elsewhere and oops, they'd have to crack 128 bit SSL, too to get my credit card numbers while they are being used for internet purchases.
I personally encourage people to use wireless lan in their home if they need it. It's very convenient technology.
It would be more useful to recommend that people use 128-bit encryption versions of their web browsers if they are going to buy things online.
I can surf the internet from my TT. (Obligatory TT content.

A couple of network security experts with laptops were cruising Silicon Valley parking lots and were surprised at the number of corporate networks they could access.
As far as the security goes, it has indeed been broken, and in a way where it should be encapsulated nicely in Script-Kiddie Toolz shortly if it hasn't been already...

I can't get a strong enough signal to my son's computer 40 feet away to pass data (admittedly it has to go through about 8 walls). Tech savvy? Here? Ha ! Not worried about security in the least.
