Default DV honk / howling noise - how long does it take to show up - have 200mi on the car now...

...and I think our car has the noise already and we have only about 200 mi or so on it (225TTR).I believe the car was a week 36 build.

Should I wait til my 5000mi service to have it looked at, or have it looked at asap?

Is there any performance loss because of the noise, or is it just annoying?

Also ave a new link to our TT page (same pics, just another url)

http://tt.seebergp.com</a

Default As you have already found out, it can be right off the bat or later

I was unaware what the gurgle sound was, just knew I didn't like it. After reading all the posts here, I put on a Forge DV and now no problems. Power wasn't affected noticably for me. Suggest you look into all the posts on the archives.

Default a bad dv doesn't always make honking noises...(more)

i've put almost 4000 miles since i got my car in october and i just replaced the dv. I knew that i eventually would but decided to wait to see how long it would take for the dv to fail. However, what i noticed within the last few weeks was a noticable surginess under light/medium throttle conditions. This was the giveaway to me that it was starting to go..i'm sure honking sounds would not have been far behind. I just put the Forge DV in tonite and took the car out for a spin. Immediately i noticed that the surginess is gone and that throttle response is much smoother and overall performance is much better. I didn't reset the ECU so i'll have to give it some time to adjust to a properly working DV versus the piece of plastic, hunk of junk, Bosch DV!

by the way..super easy to install..i did it in less than 10 minutes...
