Default DV problem... HONKING.

I'm reposting... cause I'd like suggestions/comments about servicing my 006.

is it possible i did not put enough lube on the piston & o-rings? how much is too much? where exactly does the 006 need to be lubed (the 006 has a piston not a diaphram)

thanks!

andrew

Default Are you sure it is a "honk" and not more of a "pphhhhhhhfssst" - I'm serious here

If it is the latter, then it is completely normal.

Do you have the aluminum or plastic piston in the 006?

Then I wouldn't worry about it. That is the normal sound for the Forge 006

Default OK...

michaelTT.. thanks for the link.. but I installed the DV months ago.

My question was... did I miss something when I installed the service kit from forge.

How much is too much lube? I may have not put enough... that was my question. Sorry if I wasn't clear. It's a 006 with the service kit installed (new o-rings and piston)
