Easy iPod install (a.k.a. Hey, Jeff Bipes!!)
I have the Bose unit with CD changer. Let's say that I'm willing to forego the CD in favor of the iPod.
Now, I've seen Jeff Bipes iPod install (I love Jeff Bipes but he's married). Anyway, with that install there's a switch to permit changing between CD and iPod.
I'm wondering if I can do this easier if I am willing to give up the CD -- I don't want to pull the head unit. Is there any way to just unplug the CD somehow and plug in the iPod?
Short cut wanted!!!

Not sure if this would work or not, but someone could be the guinea pig for this. I think it should work...if I remember correctly VW and Audi use the same Panasonic CD changers.<ul><li><a href="http://www.rcainput.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=RCAI&Pr oduct_Code=VW-AUX&Category_Code=V">http://www.rcainput.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=RCAI&Pr oduct_Code=VW-AUX&Cate

No easy shortcut... Jeff's method is the best and you can keep both.
Where are you located? You should try to make it to an audi meet, and someone will help you with the install (read: do it for you). It's the best way.

honestly, jeff's aux input is pretty easy to install...
i imagine that more work would be required to do it any other way.
also, the thing works great, and only requires one hole to be drilled (from the trunk to where the cd changer is -- nothin' visible).

Jeff, would this work? >>>
It looks like you unplug the CD, plug this attachment in, and presto!
That's what I'm looking for!
BTW, the Audi link is:<ul><li><a href="http://www.rcainput.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=RCAI&Pr oduct_Code=AUD-AUX&Category_Code=audi">RCA input thingy</a></li></ul>

No. The TT CD changer plug is a round 13 pin DIN style plug. You have two choices...
1. Do what I did and tap into a Panasonic adapter cable with Panasonic 8 CD changer.

or...
2. Blitzsafe makes an adapter if you are willing to give up the CD changer.

Whoops sorry, your link to the Audi interface would work. I was responding to the other...
post with the VW connector. The Audi interface you referenced is like the Blitzsafe adapter.
