Just FYI if anyone else finds this thread like I did when I found 11 wires in my 180hp awp. You really only have 2 options and of course I picked the wrong one first. There's one extra brown ground wire so you either have to splice it into the VSS ground or the main ground. I pick the vss ground first since the smaller wires fit better but got all sorts of misfire codes. Soldered it into the main larger ground wire and it's running like a charm now! Good luck!
