ECU rental? Wouldnt it make sense that we would have a community ECU for dealer service visits?

Default ECU rental? Wouldnt it make sense that we would have a community ECU for dealer service visits?

Why buy a spare ECU for service when most times the non-chipped ECU will sit in the garage not used? If a group of TTs shared one ECU for dealer service issues we could defer the cost.
Could this idea work?

Default There are at least a dozen different iterations of ecu's...

Not to mention immobilizer cloning issues. Better off investing the extra $550 or so, especially when roadside assistance is needed.

The immobilizer is probably a much bigger problem for 2001 and on.

I see that you've modified you name. Is the car that much faster?
