Default though the effect would be lessened, it would still heat soak...

without any air coming through there. I might see if I can effectively move it into the cabin and post results.

in the heat!

Default yes, you are correct...

I think it has to do with how the air is read coming across the MAF and it is supposed to keep performance constant.
