Default EGR block off?

has anyone done the egr block off plate on the TT? any pics of the install and any help would be great. by doing this do you think it will make the engine more clogged with carbon or is EGR just for emissions. anyone see any pros and cons to doing this mod. i would really like to free up some engine bay space but not at the expense of hurting the car.

Default have not heard of anyone on this board doing this>>>

and would imagine it would impact emissions.....and specifically give incorrect flow on the secondary air injection....which would promote CEL's.....

Default get an aeb head...... they dont have egr valve's!........ thats what i did.....

i saw a big thing on vortex in the 1.8t froums bout a guy who offers a block off plate and a lill moduel pack that tricks the ecu so u dont get a cel or any thing. looked like a slick set up. some had been testing it, one guy evne had his car smoged w/ it on and it passed the obd-2 scan his state required.

Default Contributes to fast CAT warm-up too....>>

You may also get CELs from that...
I'd say pass on this idea unless you can find away around all these issues.
