Default way too practical, fix should involve Rube Goldberg contraption

maybe we should have a contest for most complicated solution?

Default I hit the thing all the time, though I use it for storage.

My Sunglasses & the V1 go in there when the top is down and I'm parked somewhere.

At least it locks with the doors.

Wow, what a serious collision. You are lucky to be alive, as I'm sure you know. I'm former a former SDPD officer, and was involved in a head-on collision enroute to work.

My Honda CRX lost the front 1/3 of it, and it is beyond a miracle that my injuries were comparatively very minor. Still, it took me quite a while to fully get over the fear of riding in an automobile.

Sorry that this happened to you, but it does seem that you had some luck on your side, and good doctors too.
