Default electrical gremlin and door chimes >>

the chime when you leave the door open when the key is in the ignition or when you leave your lights on with the keys out of the ignition is erratic.. sometimes it works.. sometimes it doesn't... any ideas?

Default if you mean the light switch... i don't think that's it >>

cause the chime functions when you open the door w/ the key in the ignition (no lights)

Default Ignition pressure switch- tells the instrument control panel that the key is out.

Door switch unlikely because it has nothing to do with the lights.

Default Mine stopped chiming altogether

I drained my battery a few times because I would always forget to turn off the lights. Dealer said that it was due to the cluster failure. Swapping it out fixed it.

Default OR "when you leave your lights on with the keys out of the ignition"

Both problems have to do with the key in ignition.
