Default Ellen's Becart License Plate Frame Retirement Photos...

All of you are aware that Ellen Erickson sold her 225 roadster, and is now tooling around town in a smashing MB32SLKAMG.

None of you know that the only thing she didn't sell off her car was the license plate frame, the excellent Becart machined aluminum frame.

Being the incredibly astute observer that I am, when I looked at Ellen's description of the car, I noticed the frame was not listed. Being even more inquisitive than I am astute, I fired off an e-mail. After complimenting me on my astuteness and inquisitiveness, she promptly informed me that she had the unmitigated gall to intend to keep her frame and place it on her new Benz.

My defeat turned to victory in a few scant hours though, as Ellen discovered, much to her chagrin, that alas the Becart frame would not fit on the Benz. So, grudgingly, albeit with a few Jacksons to soothe her nerves, she sent me the frame.

Being that I live in Florida, I told Ellen that her plate would be "retiring" to Florida. So, here are a few pics, as Ellen's frame wasted no time in getting into retirement.

First off, the frame bought a condo in Boca and went to the beach...hey watch out for those pesky sharks!

Then, the frame got in a little bit of golf with some of the locals...

Finally, the frame made it's way down to Coral Gables where it found it's favorite spot to hang out... a new TT!

Thanks so much Ellen, the frame looks great! :-)

LOL...it is good to see the frame mounted on such a noble TT and in the right owner's hands...

Default That's great! Glad to see that it's retiring so comfortably! It looks very at home there. :-D

Meanwhile, I talked to Roger about my problem with the frame, and he's sending me another to try that's a bit smaller. Might be starting a new SLK trend! No dimples, though....

Default What's the golf index for that frame? I believe that photo of Woods is at the Mercedes Tournament of

Champions when it was held at the La Costa Resort & Spa (1997).

Default Your car is back from the dealer and the paint shop....mostly okay with a couple of "issues."

Dealer manager and I spent about an hour talking about QC philosophy this afternoon. They recognize there's a problem and have been "turning things upside down for two months" with a lot more to go, but soon to return to excellence. He's working on pricing for me for TT, A6 and a 911.

BTW, what's the weather like in Charlotte and did you get your email retrieval working?
