For EloqnTT: a rear-facing infant seat for the TT

Before Jill "green-lighted" the TT several years ago, I had to confirm that an infant car seat would fit in the back seat of the car. We still don't have a child, but I did find a series of car seats on the audi.de website that I thought would work. My due diligence paid off (I got the car, right?), and the information may now be of some help to you.
The particular seat shown below is rear-facing, and can be used in the back seat. It's also relatively inexpensive at 102 Euro.

If you order it through Martyn Franklin, you could probably get it for about 4% less than that price, and you'd likely have it within two weeks. I've ordered numerous items available only in Europe through him (the "TT West" coupe and roadster pins, for example), and my German taillight assembly arrived in three days, just to give you an idea of how fast you can get items from him.
Check out the audi.de site (Zubehör | TT: Familie) for some of the other car seats available for the TT. The one above, I believe, is the only rear-facing seat, however.
Good luck, Mark!

There are different standards here and in Europe. This is why Audi doesn't sell their Huckepack seat here (which uses the ISOFIX or LATCH mounting hardware available in Euro Audis and VWs).
It is most probably a very safe seat, but you may find that it doesn't work with the American TT, or you may find that your TT needs a LATCH kit installed (at least my 2001 TTC doesn't have the actual fittings and I'm not sure you can get the kit in the US yet).
Call AoA--they have a specialist who does child seats and they can tell you more. It took a couple of weeks to get a call back when I called last year, but they were very informative (although not very helpful).
