Default

I have to agree with using the brakes ONLY to slow down on this one.

Default It was late. Engine does use fuel whenever it's running. ...

There have been OEM experiments where engine shuts off at things like stop lights, stop and go driving, etc, then restarts as soon as you push on accelerator. It works, but but is too complicated and expensive, and it makes turbo lag look insignificant. The reason, of course, was to save gas.

BTW, next time you are stuck in traffic for a few minutes, or 'parking' while watching the submarine races with the (TTs) engine running, monitor the miles to go. They will click down as gas is used by the idling engine.

Yep, it was past you bedtime.

Default Redoulble clutching was used years ago before transmissions..

had syncros. It's no longer required. Rev matching does however reduce stress on the drive train.
