ESP Warning light

ESP Warning light
The past 2 days my ESP warning light stays lit until I shut down the car. Upon restart, the light does not re-light until (I'm supposing) the system is activated again. Anyone seen this behavior before?
By the way, I'm a first time poster but a long time visitor with a 2001 TTR-Q 225 Brilliant Black with Amber interior
