Explain me what is the deal with the quattro system on TTs. I heard that it is different from bigger
audis. I've been told that the rear wheels kick in only when the fronts are loosing grip. Is that true?

TT uses the Haldex system which is dirrent than the torsen system used by other Audis
Yes, the rear wheels do get power when the system detects that the rear wheels are not turning at the same rate as the fronts.
Others may/will explain this inmore technical detail.

Except their discussion of the Haldex System is misinformed
Haldex can handle 2000NM of torque - they imply it can't handle much at all.<ul><li><a href="http://www.haldex-traction.com">Haldex</a></li></ul>
