Default Extended Warranty Quote

This is an online quote from Warranty Gold. They are supposedly having a deal where you can get $500 off of these prices which is good for 5 days. Anyone have any experience with these guys?

Default Check with your credit union for warranty

I live in Houston, TX and my credit union, 1st Community Credit Union, offers a comprehensive aftermarket warranty. They quoted me about $1,000 for a five year 80,000 mile warranty. The policy appears to offer very broad coverage. It is re-insured by Chubb insurance. Chubb is an outstanding insurance company. I know because I am an inurance agent for the past 22 years.

Default I'd be careful with them...

They would not provide me with a copy of what is/isn't covered. They said I had to purchase the warranty first. I asked for a copy/fax/email/handwritten doc and they would not give one to me. They said I could ask about specific parts, but I wasn't about to go down the list of every part in my car to see if it was covered.

If it was that difficult for me to try to purchase the warranty, I could only wonder how difficult it would be to file a claim.

The follow-up email I received from them had various spelling and grammar errors which always makes me suspect of quality & attention to detail.

My $.02
