Default Factory Body Kit Install

Just got my Factory Body kit back from the Body Shop! Anyone have any problems with the install? Did you really have to use the glue that provide? I really don't want to use that sand paper to maker the contact point rough! Do I have to? Also, any suggestions...my Remus Exhaust tips are too big to fit through the body kits rear valence...Help!!

Default Well, you will need *something* strong to bond it to the other panel...

this thing needs the glue on the complete edge, and yes, you need to rough up the glue edge if the painter covered it with paint.
You do not need to rough up the existing lower grill area, but you do need strong glue.
The stuff that Audi gives you is very difficult to get out of the tube, yes, but boy it sticks.

Follow the instructions that come with it, and you won't have a problem.
BTW-Get a roll of that wide 3M blue masking tape to hold it in place.
you will need to stretch the tape to hold the egde of the new lower lip spolier firmly against the OEM part for complete sealing

It's not hard to install...It's just a little disappointing that a factory accessory is held on by glue. I just don't like the idea of pour glue on my factory paint. Plus that they give you this sand paper to make the surface rough! Sand paper and paint....not a good combo!

Default Thats strange that they thought that, as Jeff says, difficult to work with and

you definitely dont want that stuff on your hands or clothes, but once it cures, it will NEVER come off if it is preped properly with the included mineral cleaner and sandpaper.
