Default Fan belt help

I was backing out of a tight driveway and drove off the curb with the front of the car. The nose on the passenger side slammed down on the curb. Instantly the fan belt started squealing. I know it is the belt because the squealing volume coincided with revving the engine. I looked around for something rubbing but didn't notice anything. The belts are in fine shape because I just had them replaced less than a year ago. What could it be?

Default Couldn't be the fan belt, thats for sure.

We have electric fans, no belts.

But there is an accessory belt that runs the alternator and power steering that is on the passenger side of the engine facing the wheel on that side. I'd start there and look for damage.

Default You're right. My mistake.

I retardedly call any other belt that isn't the timing belt a fan belt.
