Favor for folks with front coil-over setups. Do you have a pic ...

showing how the swaybar link mounts on the shock body?
Please see #12 from this pic. It's a borrowed pic from XCLR8TT's post (1541878.phtml)

Although I think I've seen this before with Steve's post.
Here's a pic I was hoping to see, but I'd like to see the back side of this shock. It's a borrowed pic from Mad Matter's post (1491098.phtml)

VW Mark 4 sway bars attatch differently, though the shocks (sans mount) are essentially the same. Any TT spec shock will have the mounts as showed in your diagram

The sway bar mounting is hidden. It attaches to the wide red sleeve that's sitting just below that lowest spring perch.
Hidden from view on the backside is the mounting tab for the sway bar link.

Basically, I've calculated that I would like to install at least 700lb + 200lb short helper springs up front with the ability to adjust Bound - so I can turn it up during competition, and have decent ride when not.
Originally, I was looking at VW suspensions as there seems to be a larger choice. But (thanks Steve), the sway bar mount is different, meaning more hardware to modify if possible, and that discourages me.
So, what I originally had in mind was getting regular Koni yellows for the TT, and sending them out to have them revalved plus install the bound adjuster.
But to install coil-over sleeves and take in custom coils means I have to cut out the stock collar and that would also remove the sway bar mount.
So this limits my choice to:
#1, a coilover kit (based on MCAudiTT's picture and Mike's confirmation), but all I really care about are the front shocks.
#2, Koni based coilover kit, because the only shops I know work on Konis. This is because I will have to still send them out to have them revalved and install the front bound.
My question to Mike is do you sell just the front coilover shock?

Making a KONI to be both compression adjust and rebound adjust isn't as simple as a revalve.
You need to change to one of their motorsport shocks. Since the struts you have don't use reusable insert cartridges, you are looking at some serious custom work. KW V3 would probably be the best option, otherwise the PSS9 from Bilstein, if you feel you really need the compression adjust.

Hence I considered it as an option. Pro Parts is most likely who I will use, since I've read some negative experiences with True Choice.
I'd rather go with a front coil-over shock assembly if I can get my hands on them alone.
However, this rather funny pic from MCPaudiTT...

Got me thinking of the race cartridges again. (Thanks for the link and pics BTW - great info![Wink](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
I have reservations about the KW3 and their ability to accept stiffer rates. My uncle has them in his R32. On our last track event, we had quite a time getting them dialed in. He had to resort to swaybars for compensation.
Regarding the PSS9's, I have driven my friend's GTI with them. While it corners well, it's definitely lacking in it's ability to flatten the car. Hence, my friend wants to go stiffer, but he's not sure how to go about it - trial and error with springs on his PSS9's, or ditch the system altogether.
This is what I am trying to avoid on our TT, as I've done this with my A4 - ditching a number of springs and shocks in the process.
