While rain is in the forecast for Friday (70% chance), Saturday only shows a 10% chance of rain as of this writing. Still, we're good to go for Saturday at 11 am rain or shine.
It looks like we'll have roughly 20 attendees if everyone who RSVPed shows up, so it looks like a respectable crowd. This run has been a favorite of those who have attended in the past, so this will give you a good excuse to get out and meet some of your fellow SoCal TTers. Here are the details of the run once again:
As a reminder, our Trabuco Canyon Run is scheduled for this Saturday, December 3rd at 11 am. Please let me know asap if you'd like to attend or conversely, let me know if your name is on the list and you can't make it.
We've done this run several times before and it always receives excellent reviews. What's especially nice about this drive is that it is centrally located, so it's pretty convenient regardless of whether you're in Los Angeles, San Diego or beyond.
The run will start in the Irvine area, wind through twisty and scenic canyons, and end up at the Rose Canyon Cantina (formerly Senor Licos) in Trabuco Canyon. Once there, we will enjoy delicious Mexican food and margaritas. Yum!
Some may remember that we did this about a year ago, so we are now repeating it due to popular demand. If you have a family service radio, bring it. We will be operating on channel 7, code 7 (the two 7s kind of looks like TT).
We're going to meet Saturday, December 3rd at 11 am at the Ralphs supermarket lot, which is located at 2620 Chapman (714-289-4450). To get there, take whatever to the 55, and exit at Chapman. Ralphs is just east of the 55. If you're late and miss the group, just head out to the Rose Canyon Cantina, as directions are provided below.
The Rose Canyon Cantina is located at 20722 Rose Canyon Road in Trabuco Canyon. Their phone number is 949-858-0724. To get there follow the group or:
From the 55, take either Katella or Chapman East and they will run into Santiago Canyon. If you're coming from the north, you'll hit Katella first, from the south, you'll hit Chapman first.
Continue east on Santiago Canyon for quite some distance and go left at Cook's Corner.
Cook's Corner will wind around and you'll continue on it until you get to Rose Canyon Road, where you'll make a left.
The Rose Canyon Cantina will be located on the right side of the street.
Please let me know if you plan on attending and whether or not you will be bringing a guest along. We have reservations for 20, but I would like to give them an accurate head count, out of fairness to the restaurant.
This will be our 4th visit to the cantina over the course of the past 5 years and it has always received good reviews. This was a lot of fun last time and should be the same this time as well. Again, please let me know asap if you are planning on attending and I'll look forward to seeing you there! Here's a tentative list of who I'm expecting:

Perfectly appropriate for the early part of your anniversary, IMO. Plenty of time for you to do dinner on your own and spend time together later in the evening!
