Default I had a 2003 MAF (see below); got a VW "A" to use the housing, and pulled the plastic >>

flow-straightener and metal screen, per recommendations from Schwing. The 2003 MAF has 2 plastic flow straighteners and one screen; the VW "A" has only one each. You need an airbox like a TTDA or a BMC to do this successfully, but it really helps.

Default Yes, I have removed the third screen and it really helped,. Now I need to get the TTDA

and descreen the whole thing and try the VW MAF also. Thank you.

Default The VW MAF didn't work for me, btw - I LOST power at 4500 rpm

so I just used the housing and swapped out my sensor (just so I'd be able to go back if I needed...)

Default Yes, understand...have the backup airbox and MAF housing to go back to "stock"

good idea...well I have already removed the third screen, but I can still use it as my backup housing....and the VW housing is just completely de-screened but transfer Audi MAF into this...and used with TTDA or CAI of your choice.

Thanks again.
