All I can say is that I've never heard an engine sound like that ever short of a racetrack....maybe.
I actually saw 4 360s within 20 minutes! Where you may ask? Rodeo Dr. in Beverly Hills, of course. The first one I saw, a Spider, took off from a stoplight at full throttle. Everybody just froze and watched in awe...Amazing!
TT got few looks in that neighborhood.

Amazingly enough there is a silver one running around here in Des Moines Eye o way of all places. Last night he was in front of me for a few miles and I just cruise along behind him so I could listen to the sound. Pulling away from lights and stop signs was an aural orgasm. One thing you gotta say about Ferraris, they SOUND wonderful. I had one for about 5 years (not a modena) and as much trouble as it gave me there was nothing like the sound of it at speed. I still prefer the TT.
Blasphemous!

I had a 1981 308 GTsi. Admittedly I bought it used, second owner. And it was not one of the quickest of the beasts. The problems I had with it were: water pump (ungodly price to fix it) and the coolant hoses, always blowing out. But, when it was at 6,000 rpm going down the highway there was no sound like it on earth, even though it was a V-8. It was almost organic rather than machine sounding. It also got a lot of attention from admirers and the police. It was a love-hate thing. It was the only car I owned that ever left me stranded on the highway - but it was the only one I owned (except maybe for the TT) that I also loved. I miss it but I don't if that makes sense. I still have a picture of it hanging in my office. I guess I can always say "I owned one"
