Default find switched 12 volt wire

I have the radio out of the car and I am looking for a ignition switched wire. I have only found powered wires, no ignition switched 12v. Please help me find it. i could use the cigarette lighter, but I can't get it disassembled to get to the wire.

If you are going to tap into that terminal, I'd suggest an inline fuse unless you like flaming Audis.

Default Do you think the 50 or so amp fuseable link for this circuit is not adequate? <g>

Of course, any add-on electrical accessory should include its own fuse, even if you tap off an already-fused circuit, such as the cigarette lighter (which is probably 10-15 amps).

Default Re: go right to the fuse box

How do I take off the lower panels to run the wire from the fuse box to the radio bay? I saw two screws, but it doesn't remove the metal pan underneath. thanks for the help. It saved me a lot of time searching.
