First-hand Summary: Zymol first-time use

Hello all:
I figured I'd post my initial reactions to a first-time Zymol use, which was completed about 20 minutes ago. Here's the run-down.
A little background on the car, it is the 1985 Porsche 944. This car has *always* had an unusually shiny, deep paint job. I suspect the car was re-painted earlier in its life, which would account for this. So I was skeptical that Zymol would really make any big difference in its already very shiny appearance.
I started with the Auto-bath car wash stuff. Straight-foward, just like any other liquid car wash. Worked wonderful.
Dried the car clean with lint-free cotton towels. All looked good.
I proceeded to apply the HD-Cleanse as per instructions. Wow. People are not kidding that this stuff is difficult to apply, but worth it. I could see as I was applying it to small areas and then wiping clean the difference compared to the pre-cleanse areas. Once I was finished with the entire car, I took a step back, wiped the sweat off my forehead. It was unbelieveable. The car was magnitudes shinier, and only on the 2nd step before the real wax. I was VERY impressed. This got me excited, and got me right on to the wax.
I bought the standard carbon wax (not the $1500 a can wax!
). I applied as instructed to do. Went on easy, came off easy. This part was much easier than the HD-Cleanse, and I'm guessing the Cleanse step made the wax step even easier. After finishing, my jaw dropped. VERY, very impressive. A deep, lustrous shine, and a very soft-feeling surface. I was very stoked at this.
As a whole, this setup gives results. I still yet have to try Zaino on the other test-car (the ford probe). Once I have determined which is best for me, I will use what I choose on the 911 and the TT once it gets here. However, Zymol is very impressive in its results, and I love the smell of all the products. Coca and Coconut smells while working on your car is a nice change of pace from the chemical smell of most waxes out there.
On the other hand, it was a difficult job. Lots of sweat and sore arms, and I look foward to trying Zaino, as a great deal of you tout it as being much easier to apply. I will post a follow-up once I've tried Zaino, so we all have yet another well-informed comparison. I am also still undecided about the contents of Zaino, and what long-term effects it may have, whereas Zymol is all natural.
Cheers!

I must admit, though, that I'm working on a pretty new car, and I don't have to do the top given that it's a roadster. I've used it in the past, and they have changed the formula of the HD Cleanse. It's actually easier than it used to be, but seems to work just as well or better (and smells great).

that all the HD cleansers and clay bars are a necessity... mayhaps I am missing something... but my TTQ looks great after being Zaino'd and it doesn't take hours.. shortly I will try Zaino on my 15 yr old CRX, then I may have a diff view of the situation...

Doesn't look as good as the black TT's I've seen tho. Could it be we have better paint?
Ivan
