Default First in North America with a hardtop for my TTR!

I just had to move to England to get it! (It's on order)

Seriously, I've been following this forum for about 16 months now
mostly as a lurker, and it has been great. It helped me get through
the 4 month wait for my green/green/green roadster to arrive (thanks
for all those pictures!) and the sense of belonging to a community
has been great. I've not been much of a "car guy" until I got this
vehicle but now thanks to all the info in this forum, I've got the service
manager hopping, and studying hard before I show up because he
knows he's going to get tested.

When I got offered this job in the UK I expected I'd have to sell
my baby but it's going to cost a lot less than I expected to move
it from the west coast so I'm taking with me. I'm not looking
forward to the traffic in London but I can't wait to wind down
some of those twisty country roads I've seen in so many pictures.
At least they are paved! A back road here means about a
hundred miles of gravel which the TT is not particularly fond of.
And then there's Europe..... I can't wait :-) The car should also
attract attention: I'm sure they've never seen a TT with
those tumours peculiar to Canadian cars.

Anyway I just wanted to say farewell and thanks to everyone.
I'll be checking in every so often but my only internet access
will be through a modem and I haven't used one of those in over
4 years. It's going to be painful.

Best wishes to all and thanks again.

Default I'm moving to London from Boston in a month --

How expensive / difficult was it to get the car moved over? I'm currently expecting to sell mine, but if there's a chance that I can take it over, I may consider it.

What, btw, brings you to London? I'm doing software architecture out there; just curious.

The car is going into a 20 ft container and its costing about
$2200 Cdn (~$1400 US). It's got to cost a lot less from
the Atlantic coast.

I'm actually taking a job as CTO of an email outsourcing ASP.

Do you know where you'll be living yet?

Default We should organize a small Vancouver TT gathering before you leave!

How does that sound?

We could have Washington owners come up for it too.. when will you be leaving?

Wow that would be wild. The car gets packed on Aug. 15.
We're on the plane on Aug. 17.

Default No Idea where I'm living yet.

I'm thinking either S. Kensington or Notting Hill. Probably the former, since it's easier to get to the rest of London. What about you? Fire me off an email when you get a chance - ronak@ronakshah.com
