Default I like them in that too; you going up to the track w/AAC this fall? >

I saw something on the forum last month but looked last night & couldn't find it - forget if it was MSR or TMS; presuming you got the car back by then of course.

Default As soon as I have a firm date on the car I'll book a track event...

It would be great to be at the one with the AAC, but to many variables at this point to book. I already had to cancel one track event that I had paid for this year.

Fat fives are no heavier than the Fliks so I'd just run those.

Default close but not quite... I dropped it off begin of April but all the parts...

hadn't been ordered when I dropped it off. I dropped it off early due to the car burning oil. If I had had a "working" car I would have waited until Jeff had received all the parts from DRP. Also, I requested quite a few "special" items that I knew would take DRP a while longer to produce.

Yeah, I was trying to limit the amount of mount/re-mount going on by having another set of rims.

Default Point ot ponder -18" R-comps are on the average $50 more than 17" of the same diameter and width.

My suggestion, use your Fat Fives. If you are doing it just for occassional fun, run street rubber on them. Many good choices from track and everyday driving that won't break the bank from Falken, Hankook, Kuhmo and the to be released in August, Dunlop model.

If you are to stick with 17's, get 8" or 8.5" (harder to find). 7.5" limits you to 235 only, and while on R-comps is OK (depending on how fast you drive), with street tires, it's pretty skinny.

If you use your fat fives with 235's, then you can look for an 18 wheel more for stylin.

If you want cheap but great 17x8's for track, check out Rota like the "Torques" we use.

Edge Racing also has great pricing on some good 17x8 wheels.
