Default FMIC

Anyone got some good pics of FMIC setups on the TT?
I wanna get an idea of the dimensions that will fit if I am getting it custom done.

Default I'm still trying to figure out how this is a better choice for me than the Forge

Probably because they wanted to sell me an FMIC with my kit but they did give me the option of sticking with my Forge.

Default Shoulda, woulda, coulda. Hope David is enjoying *his* Forge FMIC now.

I may try a custom core at some point in the future or something along those lines.

Default If I remember correctly - it may be shorter - but should be thicker as well

I know Nathans was. I just install the forge last weekend and I wasn't thrilled with the fitment. I do love the performance increase - considering it's 104 out and projected to hit 112 this weekend.

Default FWIW, I think the O.CT fitment is spot on. I have not heard of anyone having to trim anything to

do an install.<ul><li><a href="http://public.fotki.com/mcphill/audi_stuff/engine_and_drivetrain/oct_front_mount/">O.CT FMIC Install Fotki</a></li></ul>

Default It wasn't BAD but it wasn't what I was expecting either..........

the clearance under the front bumper support was minimal at best and the front aluminum bumper touches the FMIC right where the notches are supposed to provide clearance. I need to grind down the bumper support a little so I don't wind up with a stress crack in the weld. No way the aliens would fit either - not a big deal as I was going to remove them anyway - but I don't care how you trim the hoses etc. they simply are two wide. Now if you trimed the core support to allow them to move inward - they would be ok - but I didn't feel like doing that.
