I ended up ordering the center hanger bracket and rubber donut from the dealership.

8N0-253-461-C bracket $48.21
1J0-253-147-C rubber ring $9.06

A point of clarification on the bracket part number. 8N0-253-463-A is the "same" bracket except it is for earlier VIN 2001 225QC. I had to go out and look at my VIN number before I ordered it, and he said b/c of my later 2001 VIN I needed the 8N0-253-461-C bracket. Not sure if there is any difference in the bracket--price was the same.

I also ordered two Borla 2.75" band clamps + one 2.5" clamp from borla.com, cost ~$19 each. On web said shipping was ~$20 for UPS Ground! I called directly and ordered but he was unable to give me a shipping price on the phone. I just told him to ship it the least expensive way--probably will end up costing me the same as web shipping price.


I thought the Borla band clamp price was pretty steep until I checked out the band clamps Audi sells
