I disarmed the alarm and they still were on. But Once I started the engine they went off. The only thing unusual was that i left one of the windows open a touch.
Anyone else have this problem or was it just my alarm going off?

When the alarm is on, any intrusion into the interior of the car will cause the alarm to go... in effect, when you lock the doors the security system remembers everything in the car, if something intrudes -- BINGO... I would imagine this is particularly useful with a roaster, but in my TTC it goes off everytime my dog Higgs moves when I forget to disarm the system.

A week or so back, I left my wife in my Roadster while I ran in to the grocery store. Out of habit, I took the keys with me and locked the doors. When she moved to adjust the radio, she set off the motion sensor and triggered the alarm. She ended up using the valet key I gave her and put it in the ignition. This silenced the horn alarm but it didn't stop the lights from flashing. I'm not sure whether her putting the key in the ignition stopped the horn alarm or if it stopped on its own after a period of time as she said it took her a while to find the valet key.
So, to answer your question, there is a good possibility that something set off your alarm. You didn't hear the horn alarm, but you arrived while the alarm was still triggered.
