Default When I 'ordered' my TTS I told dealer it better be yellow...refered them to a SLK Sunburst Yellow...

as the yellow color it should match...not the BMW washed out yellow.<p><img SRC="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/AudiWorldPics/2000/annapolissig.jpg" BORDER=0>

Default I think the yellow you are referring to is called "Imola Yellow" by Audi, same as used on S4

And check this site out - an Imola Yellow Audi nut! In Virgina no less.

Default But you can order a TT now from the factory in "Imola Yellow" for $1200 more

At least that is what I was told here. Wish I had known that when I ordered mine in January, I would have done yellow/grey!

I'm sorry, but from the front, that looks like a standard issue Crown Victoria NYC Taxi ^^^^^

Default Not without a lot of effort. I've been trying...

Do you know anyone who has done so? The first day I put my deposit down on a 225TTC I asked about getting Imola Yellow. My salesman at Heishman Porsche/Audi/BMW in Arlington VA said it's never been done to his knowledge, but they have had an S4 painted in a standard A4 color. He told me that $500 is all they charged the owner of that car. He said due to the unique manufacturing process of the TT (as seen in the TT book, and a few articles) it may not be possible to do a custom color. I've done some investigating into the manufacturing process and the TT bodies arrive in Hungary already painted, which gives me some hope. Anyway I called the Audi customer advocates number and was told by a manager there that there "will be no deviation in color on the TT." So after thinking FU I hung up and composed a letter to Russel R. Hill a VP at Audi USA to request Imola Yellow. We'll see where that goes... Anyway I'm going for the $1200 (my salesman also mentioned a 6 month wait was also mentioned for custom colors) in a heartbeat if I get the ok form Audi, although I'm not optimistic. I'll still be happy with the Silver/Blue that I've ordered, but Imola yellow...THAT would be something.
