Friday night while driving home, I crossed the bay bridge and caught a glimpse of the moon>
<center><img src="http://images5.fotki.com/v63/photos/2/209608/774665/coolmeltingfx-vi.jpg"></center><p>it was something like a half moon but HUGGE! It appeared a little larger than a silver dollar at arms lenght - casting amazing reflections over the Chesapeake bay.
Anyway I got home, grabbed my camera, to snap a couple shots, and could not recreate a shot as awe-inspiring as what I saw earlier....so I took some shots of the TT instead
I learned that I do not know the first thing about shooting night digital pics...I dont know how to allow more light in the shutter without waiting for 30 seconds or so. Most came out grainy, or blurred or a bad combination of both. these are the better shots.
Please mind the (wheel) gap.

night shots are hard. you really need a ton of light ...
or to bring your own light sources with you. in my limited experience with night photography so far, i've found that unless you have insane amounts of lighting (like at a gas station), it's best to try to photograph parts of the car. for instance, there wasn't anywhere near enough light to capture my entire car using the reflection from the neon in this storefront, but by positioning the car just right i was able to get an interesting shot of my wheel and side gill:

Thanks for the consideration, however, I will probably get better pics on the first warm weekend...
