It is like a rubber donut that sits around the upper nipple looking piece that is physically part of the car. The passenger side has this rubber cushion, but not the drive side. Is this a major problem until he can get a new one? So basically the spring on the driver side rear is sitting against the metal part.
is this a major problem?

and loose it's harshness. It was fairly brutal for a good clip.... and then overnight, became nice and smooth!

the rears are very "bouncy", and he got a lot more rubbing on the driver side- which is also where he is missing the rubber boot piece.
He is going to adjust the Koni rears to full firmness and then order that part to put it in above the spring. Hopfully that should get him going on the road.
