Default Front mount intercooler ?

Hey guys just wanted to ask if anybody here could tell me how long it would take to install an APR front mount intercooler. I have a 2005 fwd 1.8 fwd (180 hp). I was told that it would be $460.00. Is this a reasonable charge? TIA

Default Well...

Figure 30 mins each time on and off with the front clip, 2 hours or so removing SMIC and connecting FMIC...
Maybe 3-4 hours-ish depending on several conditions. $460 may be a bit high, but I don't know what kind of labor rate you're getting.

Default Agreed. I installed my previous Forge FMIC in my driveway by myself...

and I have practically zero experience wrenching on cars. Took a while and about a 6 pack, but everything turned out fine.

Default About 4 hours for my APR FMIC install...>>

Jack, stands, torx drivers for front clip. a few wrenches and such along with a few beers afterwards = install.

One important thing... Make sure you tighten your clamps.

Pics and instructions below.<ul><li><a href="http://public.fotki.com/RoberTT/tt_mods/apr_fmic/">FMIC install...</a></li></ul>

I've done some wrenching on the car already its just that I was getting a little lazy and I just wanted to see if they were giving me the right labor rate. I might just install it myself. Thank you for the input.
