Default Some here who have had sticking/malfunctioning gauges have

solved the problem with repeated tanks of fuel injector / fuel system cleaner type products. Not a gauranteed fix, but some have had luck "unsticking" the sensors.

A hammer, but that might get a little messy.

When this happened to me, I had to replace my instrument cluster.

Default They'll need to recode if...>

They put a new cluster in...Sounds like they've heard this issue before which is to your advantage.....Downside is, they won't be able to get a cluster Friday and it's a slim to none chance they have it in stock...(get them to give you a loaner)

Can't give advice on the chip/dealer thing. I always swapped out ECU while under warranty.
