Default Fuel tank - I knew I was running low on fuel so right when I pulled into the gas station ...

my fuel light indicator went on ... I expected to fill about 15 gallons of premium fuel, but I only filled 13.90 gallons.

I have a 2000 TTC quattro ... I thought the TT had a fuel capacity tank of 16 gallons. The weird thing is that I could hear the fuel tank pumping as I was waiting at a signal light ... so I knew I must be running real low.

Default are friggin kidding, the people who travel with me think

I am a lunatic because I dont trust the gauge. I have been below the red on the gas gauge and been paranoid and pulled in to get gas, only to take like 10 gallons, I dont trust the gauge at All!

Default Hmmm..... routinely pull in and fill up with ~14.5g with no warning lights....

I have never trusted fuel gauges (on any of my cars).... I base in on how many miles driven... in the TT, ~300 miles is the trigger point to start hunting for a station...

When I pulled into the station, I had just over 336 miles on that tank of fuel.

Default I usually fill up at a 1/4 tank left, or before any long drive

Consequently I've never run out of gas

Default My understanding is that with the Quattro >>>

there is a separate pump that moves gas between the left and right half of the tank... bet that's what you heard...

The way I do it, 300 miles is when the light is already on
