Default Fuel Trim & 2ndary Air Injection after MAF replacement??? Help Please

I was getting codes which the Forum experts indicated were MAF related: (1. AZ code P1136 Fuel - Air Metering 2. AZ code P0102 MAF Low Input)

Got a MAF from the Audi dealer and installed, (also got a VAG-COM). The CEL came right back on and now I am getting 2 differenct codes.

2 Faults Found:
17544 - Fuel Trim: Bank 1 (Add): System too Lean
P1136 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
16795 - Secondary Air Injection System: Incorrect Flow Detected
P0411 - 35-00

Suggestions? I am wondering about leaks. Can anyone show me pictures highlighting where I should look. (I don't know the names of all the engine components.) Also, is there a way to check other than visual inspection?

Thanks,

CrofTTy

Default You might need to do a re-set...>

The ECU still has the lean code maps stored in the memory. It takes a while for these to readjust. If you power down the ECU you re-set the maps to 0. If this is the case the CEL, if you had one, will eventually disappear. I would clear the codes, pop the neg battery terminal for a few minutes and you should be good to go if, in fact, it was the MAF..

Check block 32 for a confirmation of your current situation (before you do the re-set)

Default What schwing said, and i would check all lines to your DV>>>

the Forge Dv's, specifically the DVr's can leak and give the secondary air injection error...if the lines in are good, check to insure the diaphragm itself is not torn, or that the screw on section of the DV is tight as well...any air leaks there...and the problems begin.
