Default It almost sounds like the >>>

drive by wire is not right. I know there is a pause when you lift and throttle blip quickly. Its possible the software is having adaptation problems, ie the tables need to be updated.

Have you tried resetting the ECU PRIOR to running? That would clear anything that sits in memory left over from the drive out/round town stuff.

It's probably more pronounced in the lower gears, as it would be required to "react" quicker....

That's probably what i would do....FWIW...
One other question..do you know what rev of the GIAC chip you are running? Could be a bug in that version too.....

btw- had my car on willow springs in CA, and did not experience this at all.

In some cases it doesn't matter if esp is off. It still pulls timing back. Any upward motion is one

Default It's safety measure by Audi. It's a means of reducing or controlling the car's energy level if the

onboard computer (programmed algorithm) thinks the car is about to do something that would cause it to spin and get into an accident.

Default Yes...

it does feel much the same as the ESP kicking in and coming off and yaw is definitely a factor. What I don't get with that conclusion is why the car learns after 10-15 min on the track not to do it anymore.

Default Read my post above>>>

i wonder if a cleared/reset ECU would change this...seeing as the car is "learning" at the track after 10 minutes or so....

Default You could be correct...

Reset ecu with vag-com and see if it helps. If not reset ecu by pulling pwr to it and then see if helps.

Default if you have a registered version of vag-com you can trying logging data

next you're out on the track and see if the timing is being pulled back in the first 10 minutes or so and then resert the ecu and see if it does it again.

Default OK - Reset ECU is the verdict

Sound good I'll try it.

Thanks again.
